Weekly Menu #309 And The Book Of The Week

Hey Monday, welcome back. You could have stayed away a little longer. Maybe a three day weekend would have been nice. No? maybe next week. Oh right, next week is VACATION!!! Don't worry, I will still schedule my weekly posts for all of you so make sure you come back for the menu. Maybe we will try something new, who knows. This week has seemed like it was super long. Everyday was a challenge, but when is it not? I have three special needs children. They are a challenge in itself. But we keep pushing on. To tell you the truth, I didn't really like Leah in the off beat, last weeks pick, so I'm going to go back to a more suitable genre for myself. I think this weeks book is going to be Obsidio by Amie Kaufman. I've been plowing through this series and thought I should probably finish it since the other two are still fresh in my mind. I have to say, my reviews are going to be interesting so make sure you come back for those. This weeks menu looks delicious, p...

I've been out in the book blogisphere surfing and checking things out. I don't usually have time to check in with my other blog counterparts, but when I do, I'm always amazed at the wonderful things I come across. I'm an avid ARC reader, but I haven't requested much since its been summer and I really wanted to focus on my local libraries summer reading program... Well... I finished the challenge within a month and now I'm free to read what I want again. I'm going to have to request some more ARCs from Netgalley and Edelweiss just to get me started on this ARC reading challenge from the peeps over at Read.Sleep.Repeat . Right now, all I have is the following book. Just received this one yesterday from Berkley Books. I love this series and I'm excited to dive into in. Any ARC suggestions? Who are you reading? Lets get to reading those ARCs in the month of August. Head on over to  Read.Sleep.Repeat  to sign up. Good luck!

Hello Monday! Welcome back. I just have to say that I installed a new keyboard on my laptop and now I have the wonderful V button back. You don't really know how important the V button is until its not there any more. I went an entire year without the V button. Welcome back V button. There have been so many good books on my radar this week, but I think the one that I am going to go with is Leah on the off beat by Becky Albertalli. It was voted on of the best books of 2018 by Goodreads readers. Its a shorter book so I think I'll be done with it within a day. I think you will all find this weeks menu to be delicious. Enjoy! Weekly Menu #307 And The Book Of The Week

Monday, here we are again. It seems like one week melds into the next and we are stuck in this continuous cycle of Mondays. Always Mondays. It was a strange week last week with the fourth of July happening right in the middle. My middle son came down with a fever on Monday and it didn't go away until Friday. His fever spiked on the 4th at 104 and right before the fireworks started at dusk, we ended up in the ER, attempting to bring the fever down to a less damaging heat. he was at 100 by the time we lest, but the doctors couldn't figure out what was causing the fever. No infections, no symptoms of the flu, no fluid in the longs or appendicitis. There was just nothing. I'm glad that the fever finally broke, but that kid likes to give me a scare. The book for this week is going to be Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion. I've seen the movie and there is nothing out there that I know of like this. The whole premise of a zombie coming back to life because he falls in love w...
