Weekly Menu #445 And The Book Of The Week

Image
Welcome back to the Monday menu. Its been a weird week in my household, but we got through it. I think it had something to do with the random snow we had on Thursday that shut down schools, but mom and dad still had to work, so that was fun to deal with. The boys were amazing though, and helped mom through it. Love those guys. This weeks book is my last review book I have waiting in the wings. Business Not as Usual by Sharon C. Cooper. This book has the potential to be an amazing read. I can't wait to dive in. Lets get to this weeks menu. Enjoy! WEEKLY MENU Monday Dagwood Sandwiches   Tuesday Fetta and Spinach Chicken Patties   Wednesday Pork Carnitas Tacos Pork Carnitas   Thursday Spaghetti   Friday Turkey Swedish Meatballs   Saturday Pesto Eggs   Sunday Leftovers Night

Title: The Left-Handed Booksellers of London By: Garth Nix Genre: Paranormal Pages: 416 Release Date: September 22nd, 2022 Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books Rating: ★★★☆☆   Summary from Goodreads: A girl’s quest to find her father leads her to an extended family of magical fighting booksellers who police the mythical Old World of England when it intrudes on the modern world. From the bestselling master of teen fantasy, Garth Nix. In a slightly alternate London in 1983, Susan Arkshaw is looking for her father, a man she has never met. Crime boss Frank Thringley might be able to help her, but Susan doesn’t get time to ask Frank any questions before he is turned to dust by the prick of a silver hatpin in the hands of the outrageously attractive Merlin. Merlin is a young left-handed bookseller (one of the fighting ones), who with the right-handed booksellers (the intellectual ones), are an extended family of magical beings who police the mythic and legendary Old World when it int...

TV Review: Peacemaker

Image
Title:  Peacemaker Genre:  Action/Adventure/Comedy Release Date:  January 13th, 2022 My Rating: ★★★★★ IMDB Rating:  8.5/10 Cast: John Cena , Danielle Brooks , Freddie Stroma   Summary from IMDB:  Picking up where The Suicide Squad (2021) left off, Peacemaker returns home after recovering from his encounter with Bloodsport - only to discover that his freedom comes at a price.   IMDB Trailer   Review: I've always been very critical of DC movies. In the past, DC has never produced an exceptional entertainment show or movie, until Peacemaker. This show was just the right amount of humor and action. You have to be in the right frame of mind to watch something this outrageous and brutal. I mean, Peacemaker is one of the dumbest people on the planet, that is until Vigilante shows up. Their characters are written so well and so stupid, yet Peacemaker is extremely deep. Its a very odd combination. The story is someone what out there. Space aliens taking ov...

Hello Monday.  It was a long week. My husband started a new job, and our morning routine was thrown out the window. We've had to figure out how to get the kids to school without daddy around. The nice part is, he's home earlier so there is always someone to help me with dinner and getting the kids fed and off to bed. It will take some time, but we will all be used to it soon. This weeks book is a continuance of my Star Wars challenge. Still trying to get to the Kenobi books before the TV series comes out this summer. I have a ways to go. Reading True Colors by Karen Traviss. Lets get to this weeks menu. Enjoy! WEEKLY MENU   Monday Roasted Bratwurst   Tuesday Epic Beef Nachos   Wednesday Chicken with Creamy Dijon Sauce   Thursday BLT Caesar Salad   Friday Turkey Taco Burrito Bowl   Saturday Pesto Eggs   Sunday Leftovers Night
