Recipe: Easter Peeps Jello Cups

Image
This was a fun recipe. I was looking for a fun and easy dessert for Easter Sunday dinner when this recipe came across my feed. How cute is this? You can use any flavor of Jello if you're not a fan of blue raspberry, but the color is supposed to resemble water, like the peep is floating on surface.  However you want to make these, they will turn out wonderful. Course: Dessert Servings: 8 people Time to Make: 30 minutes with several hours to set Ingredients: 1. Box of Jello 2. I can of whipped cream 3. Yellow Peeps Instructions: 1. Prepare the Jello from the instructions on the box, and pour the Jello into clear cups. Put them in the fridge to set. 2. When the Jello has set, right before you serve, place a dollop of whipped cream on top and then a peep to top it off. 3. Serve Immediately.

Movie Review: Turning Red

Image
Title:  Turning Red Genre:  Fiction Release Date:  February 21st, 2022 My Rating: ★★★☆☆ IMDB Rating:  7.0/10 Cast: Rosalie Chiang , Sandra Oh Watch On: Disney +   Summary from IMDB:  A 13-year-old girl named Meilin turns into a giant red panda whenever she gets too excited.   IMDB Trailer   Review: I think reviews on this movie are a bit mixed. You either love it or you hate it. I, on the other hand, sit squarely in the middle. The storyline was fun. It seemed to be the ultimate coming of age story of a girl who has to deal with her inner rage, while her family wants her to learn to control and hide it. It almost had the sense they were talking about minstrel cycles with the whole red thing and the inability to control emotions. I'm sure my ladies can relate. What I couldn't stand about this movie was the characters. The girls were way to obsessed about boys and the parents were seemingly neglective and over critical of their daughter when ...

Weekly Menu #453 And The Book Of The Week

Image
Hello Monday! It was a beautiful weekend. The sun was shinning and it was fairly warm outside. Husband and I got a lot of work done at the front of the house with the porch and driveway. Still making plans on how we will concrete the upper driveway and shop foundation, but that will come in the next few weeks. This weeks book is Star Wars Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover. I'm still working my way toward the Obiwan Kenobi book since the tv series will be out soon. I don't think I will make it by then with all the other books I want to read, but I should be close. By my calculations, I have 4 more books that I was able to get my hands on. the other six still elude me. 4 is doable.  Lets get on to this weeks menu. Enjoy! WEEKLY MENU Monday Dorito Taco Salad   Tuesday Italian Sausage Hoagie   Wednesday Instant Pot Chicken Souvlaki   Thursday Thai Turkey Burgers   Friday BLT Caesar Salad   Saturday Spaghetti Night   Sunday Leftovers Night
