Menu: Week 30

It has been roughly seven and a half months since we started planning our weekly meals. I love how we don't have to try and figure out what we want to eat at the last minute and then not have what we need to make it. I love how my husband and I can spend some time together during the evening talking, and I also love the money we've been saving from not going out to eat as much. These are really amazing concepts. :)

So here's to another 30 weeks of meal planning.

Monday
- Chicken Yakisoba

Tuesday
- Avacado Chicken and green beans

Wednesday
- My favorite Taco Soup

Thursday
- Roast beef and smoked gouda drilled cheese and salad

Friday
- Garlic Parmesan pork chops and green beans

Saturday
- Dinner with the in-laws

Sunday
- Turkey ranch club wrap

Cheese corner - Pastini Mac and Cheese

For those of you who know me well, you know that my favorite food is cheese. My most favorite cheese product is mac and cheese. Since I've been diagnosed with Celiacs, I thought that I would  never be able to find a mac and cheese that tickled my fancy. A creamy, tasty, noodlie goodness that I could savor. Well, apart from my own home made "ronies" as my kids call it, its been a long ride, but I've finally found a few candidates.

Here is my first find - Pastini Pastaria with their Gluten free Maccheroni and Cheese

Its a five cheese Italian master piece, that's creamy and oh so yummy.

The picture is the only one I could find and it's not of the gluten free version, but you get the picture.

So I give this cheesy dish the "Liquid Gold" Award for cheesy excellence.

How to repair stripped out screw holes

We recently got new kitchen cabinets installed, they are gorgeous and I love them, but because the old screw holes were already stripped then new cabinets wont stay on the wall. I hate it when I open the door and the whole thing falls off the wall.

We thought about trying a few things like getting longer screws or trying to replace the wood the doors were screed into, but it would either be too expensive or my husband was afraid to ruin the cabinets them selves.

Finally I found this handy little tip from my husbands Handy Man magazine and voila, My cabinets don't fall off any more.

All you need is wood glue (about $2.00) and some tooth picks (About $.50)

First, cover the end of the tooth pick in wood glue. Put as many tooth picks in the screw hole as will fit. Make sure they are in there tightly.

Second, let the glue dry before you cut the excess off the tooth picks.

Third, screw your cabinet doors back on.

Easy peasy!

Cora Carmack - Seeking Her

Jackson Hunt gets his turn in this Finding It prequel novella …

Jackson Hunt hasn't been out of the military for long, but he needs to get a job and find a sense of normalcy if he is going to keep his demons at bay. The job that falls into his lap, though, is anything but normal.

Becoming bodyguard (and babysitter) to spoiled rich girl Kelsey Summers isn't exactly what he had in mind, but it's a chance to travel, to get away. The catch: Kelsey's father doesn't want her to know she's being followed.

She's vibrant and infuriating, exciting and reckless, mysterious and familiar. When Jackson sees her falling into the same patterns he suffered years ago, he decides it's time to stop watching and help her instead. But getting to know Kelsey is more difficult than he thought, especially because the more he knows her, the more he wants her.
