This weeks read is Solomon's Crown by Natasha Siegel, a book I picked up from the publisher. I can't wait to see what its about and review it on the blog. It looks great. Lets get to this weeks menu. Sunday Confessions #171

Hello Sunday! Tomorrow is Halloween and I'm so ready for it... Ready for it to be over, lol. I'm just not a fan of mass socializing. In shocking news, the PNW has been under a dark cloud of rain the last week and its been a steady 52 degrees. Didn't think the sun would ever go away, and as much as I was hoping for fall weather, now I'm cold and just want the sun back. Book Review: Nowhere Girl by Cheryl Diamond

Title: Nowhere Girl By: Cheryl Diamond Genre: Memior Pages: 320 Release Date: June 15th, 2021 Publisher: Algonquin Books Rating: ★★★★☆   Summary from Goodreads: The incredible true story of a family built on lies.  What if the people you love most are not who you thought they were? What if you don’t know who you are, either? Cheryl Diamond’s memoir begins when she is four and her family is in Kashmir, India, hurtling down the Himalayas in their battered station wagon headed for the Golden Temple, the holiest site in the Sikh religion. The family are Sikhs. Today. In a few years they will be Jewish. Cheryl’s name is Harbhajan. Today. But in a few years she will be Crystal. By the time she turns nine, Cheryl has had at least six assumed identities. She has lived on five continents, fleeing the specter of Interpol and law enforcement. Her father, a master financial criminal, or so she believes, uproots the family at the slightest sign of suspicion.   Despite the stran...

Hello Monday! Did you know we are one week away from Halloween. Only one of my kids are dressing up, but that's ok with me. The older they get, the less I have to drag them around to the neighbors begging for candy I will ultimately want to eat and cant, being that I'm allergic to sugar... Anyway, Halloween will still be fun as there is a costume contest at work that I will be participating in with my husband. Probably wont win, but it will be fun anyway. This weeks read is Lone Woman by Victor LaValle. I can't wait to dive in and read this story. It sounds really interesting. Lets get to this weeks menu. Enjoy!   Hello Sunday! I think the world is on fire again... Literally... A fire broke out in Washington state, not to far from me. Its a reminder of the fire we had blazing toward my hometown two years ago that caused so much chaos. The smoke in the air is killing my lungs and my head, causing headaches and asthma. Even among all this going on with me, I still hope for the safety of those who have evacuated the Nakia Creek fire. Here's to what I'm hoping will be a better week. Lets recap.
