Menu: Week 81

Its been a long week of sick children, sick parents and just plane sickness. Something nasty is going around and of course my family got the plague. I feel the worst for my baby Liam though. He can't have any cold medicine because the first ingredient is Citric Acid and he's allergic to it. I didn't realize it though until after I had pumped him full of the stuff. Kid itched for hours, poor thing. After that We just wiped his nose with Kleenex with lotion and guess what? They use Citric Acid in the aloe to preserve it. Liam's poor little face was all broken out and red. We just cant win.

Now that everyone seems to be on the mend, its back to our normal eating routine and a great menu  for the week. Enjoy!

Menu: Week 80

I think its safe to say that my eldest looks nothing like me. He doesn't have a single one of my features, poor kid... I love him just the same.

This week we had little women night, and if you don't know what little women night is, I'm about to inform you.

Once a year, the women in my family get together to watch our favorite Christmas time movie... Little Women.

We don't just watch the movie though, we quote and act out the entire thing. The experience is not for the faint of heart.

We were missing a few key players. Caitlin our sister, who we lovingly deemed Beth this year since she was sick and Beth has a tendency to get sick every year and die... Strange. Liv, aka... Beyonce. Miss you! And our newest member Julie, who was camping with her husband. We will forgive you... Just this once.

We did have a a good sport stop by for a little of the movie and dinner. Thanks for coming Jackie... You better show up next year so we can assign you a character. :)

All though the night ended in a terrifying headlock and my sisters licking my feet and exclaiming "This is for 20 years of you torturing us," The night was a blast. Next year i'm wearing socks!

Menu: Week 78

Its the first full week back to school this year. I wasn't ready!

Great news though, Jason and I got pre approval for a home and we are going to look at two in the Oregon City area tomorrow after work. It finally looks like our dream of getting out of Portland will come true. There are a few things that I like about this town, but I just want to get back to the simple and quiet life of my home town.

Another fun tid bit. I shot an arrow through a milk jug full of water. Brought out my inner Katness!
