We follow the main characters Ray and Rachel Cooper around the time Ray's wife dies of cancer that could have been cured with a new medication that is about to come out. Of course, the CEO sells out for a large sum and the drug is now too expensive for Ray to afford. After his wife's death, Ray is left to raise their daughter Rachel alone. When Ray is attacked on the subway because he has been diving into the CEO of the medical company, the plot spirals into a twisted tale of survival for Rachel. Weekly Menu #423 And The Book Of The Week

Image
Its Monday again! We had a rough weekend. I found out that my last grandpa lost his battle with Parkinson's disease Monday morning. Although we were not close, as he lived on the other side of the country from me, my heart is still devastated from the news. I spent most the day Friday struggling to get through work as I was emotionally drained and tired. Rest in peace grandpa. On a more happier note, I'm reading Stealth from the Clone Wars Gambit Star Wars series. Its has some of my all time favorite Star Wars characters in it, like Asoka and Obiwan Kenobi. This book takes place just after Clone Wars and before Anakin goes bat shit crazy.  Anyway, lets move on to the weekly menu. Its going to be delicious. Enjoy!   WEEKLY MENU   Monday Sloppy Joe Sliders   Tuesday Sausage Tomato and Cheese Omelet   Wednesday Instant Pot Beef Barley Soup   Thursday Roast Bratwurst   Friday Tuscan Chicken Mac and Cheese   Saturday Cheese Burgers   Sunday...

Of course, my husband called me panicking that I forgot about Ronan, but I assured him that it was a glitch in the system. Ugh... Lets get this recap started, shall we? Movie Review: Bring Your Own Brigade

Image
Title:  Bring Your Own Brigade Genre:  Documentary Release Date:  January 29th, 2021 My Rating: ★★★★★ IMDB Rating:  7.4/10   Summary from IMDB:  An investigation into our landscape's hidden fire stories and on-the-ground experiences of firefighters and residents struggling through deadly fires. IMDB Trailer   Review: If you want a good cry, this is your movie. My husband and I watched this documentary, not really realizing how impactful it would be on our minds. The movie documents the wild fires in California in 2020, and the mass destruction and pandemonium that occurred during that time. We experienced a massive wild fire last year in my area of Oregon as well, and the impact that event had on my community was all too real. Watching this movie, really brought back those feels and put into perspective what we still had vs what some had lost. I sobbed through the whole movie. I could feel the pure grief of the families that survived and though...
