I'm burning up for your love...

Well, i'm disappointed. I didn't get to see Uars crash to the earth in a big ball of flame, but there is still hope that it will turn us into zombies, so we'll see.
Been getting a lot of business with my photos lately, kind of weird since I didn't really do much all summer and now that falls rolled around I'm booked solid for the next month, but hey, I'll take it. Did an amazing shoot last Wednesday with a family who had an adorable little girl. Keep your eyes on my Photography blog for a preview of that session http://shphot.blogspot.com/. I will try to post the pix soon, I'm in the middle of editing them right now. I will tell you this though, there were bubbles involved, lol.

Came home last night to Phoenix telling me that he peed on my desk chair, but he cleaned it up himself. Then a few minutes later I sat at my computer not thinking that Phoenix peed on it and got an unpleasant surprise. After I changed my wet pants and did a few things around the house, guess what? I sat down at my computer again and soaked another pair of pants. I just don't learn. I guess that's the price of being a mother.

Jason took a really encouraging photo of me the other day,
Me at last wednesdays photo session, and I feel good about how I look.
Its taken a lot of work for me to get to the point where I can feel good about myself, but its totally worth it. If you want to know how I did it you can buy my book at Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Ive-lost-Sarai-Henderson/dp/1463732481/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316871384&sr=8-1

Any who, on to other stuff I did this week. Here are some awesomely strange pictures for you to enjoy. :)
Mr. Grumpo Pants being blinded by the light, wrapped up like a .....

Finally finished my brothers awesome hat and detachable beard warmer.

Made Phoenix a chicken plushy.

No officer, I didn't strangle my child...

To all you parents out there, have you ever had one of those moments where you're thinking to yourself, who's child are you? I had one of those moments today, and I knew better then to bring my 16 month old to a wedding, but I didn't want to leave him with my mom all day. Usually Ronan is the good one and Phoenix is the one crying and caring on. This is how it all went down.
Things started off great, the kids were smiling, being cute, everyone was like "Oh how precious," and then it happened... Devil Ronan... Or as we like to call it around our house Nanor.
He poked his little horns out and screamed like a banshee as the brides maids were walking down the isle. I was quickly ushered out by some crotchety old ladies who hid me and my obnoxious children in the nursery where there was no view of the ceremony or sound to even hear it.
So here I was sitting in the nursery fuming at the mouth and giving my younger son the evil eye when I made a frantic call to my mother. 911, 911, pimp down!!! She came and got them within 10 minutes, which is pretty fast driving for my mother, but by that time the entire thing was over.
Lets just say I was less then pleased with my children.
Even though, I got to be that parent for less then and hour, I kept having to remind myself to breath, he's only 16 months old and he doesn't mean it.
Once I got over my anger, I saw this picture and my heart melted. (ignore the look on Phoenix's face and pretend its angelic)

I love these to boys with all my heart and I would give up anything for them... Even a good friends wedding.

Here are some highlights from my interesting excursion.
My little man, he was so good.

The monster preparing to attack

Still being good

Found this thing in the nursery, its a double decker baby cage. You actually pull down the bars and lock them in. I was tempted to use it on Ronan. The things you find in a church.

Erin had a touching speech about being a twin. I was fine till she started crying.

The happy bride Julie and her new hubby John

I drank it!...but now I feel sick... not on my meal plan.

This is why I don't drink sparkling cider.

Looking damn sexy in my new dress. Would have looked much nicer if I had a man on my arm.

And the beat goes on...

Another long day working for the man. I was half expecting to run into the man with boobies or the guy in a dress again today, but alas, they didn't show. I'm kind of disappointed, weird people are my only entertainment at work.
Couldn't wait to get home from work though, I got to make this delicious meal of Spanish rice, with brown rice and mushroom tomato sauce.
The photo doesn't do it justice.

I saw a giant carrot truck this morning on the free way, just thought you all should know.

Anywho, I'm working on Phoenix's 4th birthday party and its going to be a blast. We're going to have face painting and a pinata. I'm even thinking about balloon animals, (If I can find a book that teaches you how to make them. lol)

I've come up with a new art project that I think I can sell for millions (I wish). Magazine art.

We'll to finish off my blog here are some pictures of my boys today.

a close to my weekend...

What a hot and humid weekend. It felt like I was breathing water as I walked from my house to my car. Even though you sweated all the liquid from your body within a minute of stepping outdoors my adorable hubby found something constructive to do... or should I say destructive.
This is what was sitting in my drive way for the last year taking up my precious front row seat. This hideous mass of metal (aka Jason's jeep) was the bane of my existence, the thorn in my side. Over the course of my Saturday it started to look like this,
and sooner then I thought it looked something like this,
This I can handle, plus its on the street now which leaves me with my beloved parking spot in the driveway. Now if I can only figure out how to back the car in straight we would be in business, details, details.

In other news, finished my cousins order for a new baby hat and booties. How cute are these.
yeah, these are some of my favorites.

Alright, get ready for the ultimate birthday present for your 4 year old. Daddy brought home a lovely piece of metal. Drum roll please.....
A midget size shovel for Phoenix.

Another week under my belt and a busy week to come.
Later peeps!!!!

Its the small things in life...

Both my boys fell asleep in the car. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Another long day, but there is nothing greater then coming home to a bear hug from my Ronan. He's such a lover for the big oaf of a boy that he is.Phoenix just screamed at me that he didn't want to go home, but I'll just ignore that and pretend that he said "What up, mother?"

In other news, I finished my sisters cowl before she heads off to Italy. It was my first attempt and it turned out awesome if I may say so myself. I wore it around the house this morning before I went to work and its really warm and soft. I love the color she picked too. Now I just have to make one for my mom, she wants a chocolate brown one. Yum yum.

It's sooooooo quiet, its kinda weird. I really don't know what to do with myself. I guess I should go put the laundry away that I moved from Ronan's crib to the changing table. Yeah, it would be nice to use that again.

Till next time peep's, live long and prosper.

Another day, another doller

Back to the grind. We've been struggling with the boys and their sleeping in their own room. Ronan will sleep in his own bed for about an hour and a half before he wakes up and cries. So i'm up every couple of hours with him, and Phoenix sneaks into our bed during the wee hours of the morning. Of course he has to sleep on my side of the bed with me and Ronan, so I guess I'm just a little tired.

To top it all off, we are down an office employee at work and to make things worse on the hottest day of the year so far, our AC broke, we don't even have the fan to circulate air through the office. Its just one stagnant air pocket I like to refer to as hell.

I would feel so much better if someone would buy something from my etsy store http://www.etsy.com/shop/udjb or my book on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Ive-lost-Sarai-Henderson/dp/1463732481/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1315457052&sr=8-1

How can you say no to those baby blues?

Blogging about my dinner. Yeah!!!

Since a lot of people have been asking about my weight loss and what I've been doing to lose it, I've decided to join the millions of Americans and blog about it.
We filled our tummies tonight with a delicious taco salad with some homemade salsa that Jason's mom gave us. With in the time it took Jason to screw a night light to the wall and change the sheets on Phoenix's bed I had dinner made, that's how easy it was, and the best part about it was the carb count. Lets give it a big fat ZERO. There are so few carbs in this dish that its not even worth counting them.
So here's the skinny (lol, pun intended) about taco salad.
  • lb ground beef
  • Taco seasoning
  • Walla walla sweet onion
  • Green leaf lettuce
  • Medium Cheddar Cheese
  • Home made Salsa
  • Green pepper
  • Pablano Pepper
  • Yellow Banana Pepper
  • Sour cream
Mix all these ingredients in a bowl and enjoy.

On another note, I had a wonderful day with my boys. We played with our new puppy Laddi. She is a 2 year old min pin. Interesting fact, min pins have been around about 200 years longer the doberman pincers, unlike popular belief that they are a smaller breed of doberman. They are actually a cross between a grey hound and dachshund, weird. That would explain the faster than light circle around my front yard.

Jason had a good day selling Jeep parts to weirdo's from the internet. I think its his new hobby. He also likes surfing the free listings on craigslist. I wonder how much junk we are going to end up with now that Jason has a running truck? We... Shall... See...

We've been doing so well the last couple of days with Phoenix's potty training that I decided to put him in underpants for half the day. It worked out well, no accidents. I figured when he was wiping it out to pee on the fire wood Jason was pilling in the fire pit, or peeing on the tree's in the front yard, he was probably ready to be a big boy. Cross your fingers for tomorrow.

I'm probably going to be scolded for this but we finally moved the boys out of our bedroom and into their own room. I know its weird to have them sleeping in our room, but I'm very protective of my children and didn't feel safe in our neighborhood at first. Now that its been 2 years since we've moved here and this small town girl has gotten used to the big city, I'm more comfortable letting my children sleep in a different room.

It has been a good labor day weekend and I'm so glad I got to spend it with my boys. Have a wonderful week and until next time, Selah.
