Movie Review: The Aeronauts

Title: The Aeronauts Genre: Historical Fiction Release Date: December 6th, 2019 My Rating: ★★★★★ IMDB Rating: 6.6/10 Cast:    Felicity Jones ,  Eddie Redmayne ,  Himesh Patel Summary from IMDB: Balloon pilot Amelia Wren and scientist James Glaisher find themselves in an epic fight for survival while attempting to make discoveries in a gas balloon in the 1860s.   IMDB Trailer Review: I absolutely loved this movie, not matter what the people on IMDB say. I feel like they are a fickle bunch of critics anyway. The story was so powerful. We follow a balloon pilot as she takes a scientist up into the sky to study the weather. As they gain altitude, the story of the balloon pilots late husband comes out and how he sacrificed his life to save her's when a balloon ride goes horribly wrong. As the air becomes thin, the two companions begin to slip into a cold sleep, but the balloon pilot knows that they must descend or they will both d...

Monday! Here we go again. I feel like things have been super crazy around here and it might be finally settling down. I am so ready for a break from all of this. In the midst of all of this insane stuff, I've been retreating back into my books. They give me a quiet safe place to get away from reality for a while. With this, I've read over 40 books this year alone and I feel like I'm too deep to stop now. Speaking of books, here is this weeks read. Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I've been trucking along with my read around the country challenge and this book is next in line. The internet said it was set in Louisiana and Goodreads said it was set in South Carolina. I'm needing Louisiana, so here's to hoping. Either way, I loved the movie so I can't wait to read the story the way it was meant to be. Lets get on with this weeks menu. I hope you enjoy! MENU Monday Smothered Pepper Jack Burgers Tuesday Creamy T...

She watches, unmoving, as someone dressed in a rabbit costume kidnaps a young girl. Devastated over having done nothing, Rhonda joins the investigation. But the closer she comes to identifying the abductor, the nearer she gets to the troubling truth about another missing child: her best friend, Lizzy, who vanished years before. From the author of the acclaimed  Promise Not to Tell  comes a chilling and mesmerizing tale of shattered innocence, guilt, and ultimate redemption. Add on Goodreads Review: Eehhh... The story was weird and didn't sit well with me. I'm a huge fan of McMahon's creepy writing style, but I couldn...
