Review:

I think reviews on this movie are a bit mixed. You either love it or you hate it. I, on the other hand, sit squarely in the middle.

The storyline was fun. It seemed to be the ultimate coming of age story of a girl who has to deal with her inner rage, while her family wants her to learn to control and hide it. It almost had the sense they were talking about minstrel cycles with the whole red thing and the inability to control emotions. I'm sure my ladies can relate.

What I couldn't stand about this movie was the characters. The girls were way to obsessed about boys and the parents were seemingly neglective and over critical of their daughter when she needed them the most.

I usually base some of my review off how my youngest likes the movie and he wasn't interested after the first watch which makes me believe he didn't like it either. A good attempt, but not my cup of team.
