Sunday Confessions #106

Hello Sunday!

My husband was on the warpath to find the right car for our family. Turns out it was harder than we thought in this economy. Lowballing on our trades and selling a brand new vehicle #15k over MSRP. Its criminal. Should have figured. We will find something, its just a matter of time.

Lets recap this week.

Sunday Confessions #107

Since I'm in between when reviews need to be read, thought I would work on some books I've really wanted to read. After the first book in the series left me wanting more, I'm hoping this one gives me the good feels too. Its starting out a little slow, just like the last book, but I have faith things will pick up.

What are you reading this week?

As I might have stated in some of my previous posts, I really over did it this week. I think I currently am reading 20 books, and not all of them are reviews.

I have a problem, lol.

Wake up its your girlfriend by Ariana Grande

The last thing I watched other than the multitude of Ben Ten episodes my boys are bingeing today, was Sharkadelic Summer 2 with Snoop Dog. OMG, this is probably the best thing I've watched in a long time.

Snoop does the commentary on some pretty outrageous video clips. If I thought I loved shark week on Discovery before, I love it even more now that I know Snoop is around.

Hilarious!

I feel like this is the week for getting in over my head. I've been trying to cook more seafood even though I haven't really liked it in the past, but I'm trying. My friend Amy suggested scallops and from watching Hells Kitchen, I know they are not easy to cook. I'm going to screw this one up, I just know I am.

This was on my menu, so I will let you know how they turn out.

Check out this beautiful recipe of Scallop Spaghetti in White Wine Sauce from Julia's Album.

This week I really needed the distraction of my books. Work was busy and working with a good book in my ear is always more enjoyable. Definitely got some good reading in.

  1. My cousin and I were just having a conversation about trying to get new cars now. He got lucky and they really wanted his trade in so that helped. But he said everything he looked at new was way over MSRP and no one would deal down. It sucks!

    1. Its been a rough search, but we did finally find one vehicle that was priced at MSRP so with our trade, that they still wouldn't give us what we wanted for it, we did pretty well. I'll post about my new car tomorrow. I just don't want to go through that again, lol.

  2. We "played car" this week because they both needed their tires looked at, but I'm really happy not to need to look for a new one for a while (fingers crossed here). It's going to be crazy for a while! Thanks so much for visiting Reading Reality!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. We got really lucky and finally found something, but it was a rough ride.

  3. That sucks about your car search. I have heard that they're in demand right now, but 15K over MSRP? That's insane!

    1. Completely insane, but what's even more insane is people are buying them like that.
