Book Confessions of an Ex-Ballerina

Every once and a while, my DVR will record something that I have never heard of and frankly would have never recorded on my own. Last week I got a nice surprise when it recorded "The Five Year Engagement" from 2012.

At first, I was like "What is this?" Then I was like, "Hey, its got Chris Pratt in it." And finally I was like, "I'll give this a shot." Let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed.

Even though one of my favorite Chris' (Chris Pratt) didn't play a main roll, I still enjoyed this witty comedy about two people who are madly in love and run into some terrible bumps along the way after they get engaged.

It has some names you might recognize in it like Emily Blunt and Jason Segel. Of course Chris Pratt, Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling and Dakota Johnson to name a few. All great actors.

The way they argued reminded me of the way my husband and I argue and the humor sound like me and my friends, so the whole thing hit home in a funny way. The ending was the best part. I'm not going to give it away, but you have to watch it. You will love it!

Another, more recent movie that my husband rented, was "The Intern." We both loved it!

Anne Hathaway was amazing as usual and Robert De Niro of course nailed it. Who knew that a movie about an intern in his 70's would be so hilarious.

Robert De Niro's character becomes a senior intern at a fashion company that is run by Anne Hathaway's character. She kind of has a midlife crises and Robert De Niro is there to help her through it.

My husband and I laughed and laughed through the entire movie. I would recommend it for any date night or girls night in. Cuddle up on the couch with a juice box and some crackers and enjoy the hilarity of The Intern, you won't be disappointed.
