Review:

I have to admit, I'm 50/50 on this one.

The legacy of the original Matrix will always hold a special place in my heart. It broke the boundaries of what was real and what was fake when it was first released, showing the world a new brand of cinematics and seriously making people rethink their existences. It was truly a trip.

As I watched this new movie and relived the iconic scenes of Trinity and Neo's past, then realizing they were remade with other actors to fit into the new matrix where things are replaying themselves over and over again, it felt wrong. Like the writers were trying to replace the characters we loved so much with new, less awesome versions.

Even though Neo and Trinity were reintroduced into the Matrix at the end of the last movie to save humanity, they lost all essence of who they once were and weren't the people that made me fall in love with this movie franchise in the first place.

This was a matrix movie for all intensive purposes, but they should have left it alone after the end of the last movie. Not a movie I will be purchasing to add to my collection.
