Review:

Another fantastic Disney story.

I loved each and every character in this movie. The music was wonderful too. This was the full meal deal.

We follow Mirabel as she deals with the reality that she isn't as special as the rest of her family. They all have magical powers, kept strong by the candle that burns in the window of their magical home, but for some reason, that house didn't grant her a special power, it left her high and dry. But Mirabel keeps taking things in stride and has a wonderful attitude about it even though the family pushes her aside and shuns her. I really wanted to slap some of the characters for their petty discriminatory ways, but the story had something else for them.

When all is said and done, and Mirabel has saved the family home and their magic, everything is fine... Except for me!!! I was so upset that Mirabel didn't get her own powers in the end, or they realized she had powers all along. They left her with nothing. NOTHING! My eight year old and I had a long discussion after the movie was over about this fact and I have to say, I'm a little let down.

If this is my only gripe with this movie, then I guess its alright. The diversity and story that came from this film is definitely a five star review.
