Review:

Last week I talked about The Adam Project with Ryan Reynolds and compared the time travel elements in that movie to this one. The Tomorrow War fell off the horse long before the war in the future started.

Just the premise of the movie makes absolutely no sense. Why would they send people to the future to fight a war against aliens that could have been prevented in the past? And why send people who have absolutely no training knowing full well they will be more food for those weird creatures? Time seems to be of the essence in present times, when time is what they have. Time to prepare, time to find out where the aliens came from and plenty of time to stop them since they know when the war will start.

All these things are thrown out the window with Chris Pratt's character runs into his daughter in the future and tries to save her, but nearly destroying the one thing that can save the past. He doesn't want to leave her. I get it. That's your kid, but to know that the war will never happen, and your daughter will have the chance to live a long and normal life should be enough for you to take back with you and not try and save her in the future.

The one saving grace of this movie happened to be the great acting by the cast. They really made their bad decisions believable. So, I give this movie a 1 star for good acting, but nothing more.
