I've found that my peace of mind comes from sharing the load. Both my husband and I work, and we share some of the larger chores around the house, but more often than not, the child care and meal planning and prep fall mainly on my shoulders. To take some of the load off, I often involve my husband in cooking. Not only does this give us time to talk about our days without the distractions of a screen in our faces, but we can turn on some music and act like fools. My husband has been known to shake his hips from time to time. Hey, not everyone is a former dancer.
Here are a few recipes we cooked recently.
Mongolian Beef
This recipe from Marina over at Let the Baking Begin happens to be a winner in my house. My husband said this was the best Mongolian Beef he has ever tasted. Its stuffed full of flavor and easy to make.
Head over to Let the Baking Begin and do just that.
Ground Beef Tacos
Who doesn't like taco's in one form or another. Natasha at Natasha's Kitchen has a delicious taco recipe that is too die for.
My husband was in charge of the veggie spread which really took a lot of time off my hands and saved my accident prone fingers.
Have yourself a wonderful Taco Tuesday with this recipe.
Creamy Bruschetta Chicken Rice
If you didn't know, Knorr has some delicious recipes on their website and this one happens to be one of my favorites when I'm feeling tired and don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.
Add some Chicken, cheese and tomato to a Knorr rice packet and voila, dinner.
Italian Sausage Pasta Soup
With the weather being so cold these days, a delicious soup can warm the soul. This recipe from Christina over at Eatwell 101 is simple and quick. Don't forget its super tasty. Did I happen to mention, this is one of the only ways I can get my husband to eat soup...
Classic Smash Burger
I think my family has burgers at least once a week. We really like the multitude of ways they can be dressed up, but this recipe from the Certified Angus Beef Brand is a winner in my house hold.
I always put my husband to work prepping and cooking the patties as I don't like to be sticky from touching the raw beef. he's a trouper.
Well, these are the five recent recipes my husband and I cooked together. This week, I know my husband is going to be helping with the Cheesy Tostadas so maybe I'll take some pictures of him helping for my next instalment of cooking with my husband. Enjoy!
