Review:

As my kids get older, they are now watching more adult based cartoons, and what I mean by that is cartoons that my husband can enjoy due to some small adult content that children might not understand. This movie is just that.

I loved Maya from start to finish. She was spunky and hardheaded. Ready to take on the world even though her path was more subdued, or thought she thought. It wasn't until her true lineage comes to light, that Maya realizes the inner demons that she has been fighting her entire life was just the warrior inside trying to come out.

When the world and the lives within it are threatened by the underworld, Maya starts her journey to fulfill the prophecy spoken at before her birth. She tracks down the most powerful warriors from each tribe, healing old wounds that has split the tribes for many generations and forming an army to face the underworld.

The whole story is wonderful and well weaved. Maya and her friends have an a mazing bond. Even when faced with death, they fight until the bitter end.

Loved the whole series and so did my eight year old. We couldn't wait to watch it together.
