Review:

This show continues to blow me away. I always find it refreshing when a book or show about witches and vampires takes a new approach to the normal lore that we all know. It really makes for good viewing.

Since I haven't read the second book in this series yet, I cannot speak of how well the show follows the original story, but damn, its really good.

Diana and Matthew went back in time at the end of last season. This time around, Diana finds herself trying to fit in to a 1590's world without the previous knowledge that Matthew has. I mean, he already lived through it. The couple is still searching for the Ashmole 782 book, and they find it, but someone from Diana's past intervenes as they try to maintain the original timeline.

The cinematics are amazing, especially when Diana learns to use her witchy powers. Its one of my favorite parts of the entire show. And the characters keep growing as individuals and as a couple. Its really fun to watch.

I can't wait for season three set to come out sometime next year. Now, on to reading the book.
