Recipe: Teriyaki Salmon and Pineapple

I've never eaten salmon before I had this recipe. My husband and I have been trying to eat a less aggravating diet to our guts and of course a lot of seafood is on the menu, and since I'm now a full grown adult... Some times... I decided to take a chance and cook something I have never cooked or eaten before.

This was an easy recipe to follow and to cook. It only took about 5 minutes to prep and another 20 minutes in the oven. Wonderful for a seafood beginner like me.

Ingredients

4 Slices of Pineapple
2 Salmon Filets
1/2 Cup Teriyaki Sauce
Salt
Pepper

Rice or Steamed Veggies
(take your pick)

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees

2. Season salmon filet with salt and pepper to taste

3. Create a foil pack with aluminum foil

4. Drizzle one side of each packet with olive oil, then place pine apple and salmon filet on top of that. Drizzle a good amount of teriyaki sauce over the whole thing.

5. Close the foil pack, pinching each side to seal.

6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

7.  Serve right away with rice or steamed veggies.

This recipe can also be made on the grill easily. Just follow all the prep steps, but instead of heating the oven, light the grill.

  1. My husband enjoys the sweet and savory combination, so I'll have to note this for him. Looks nice and simple.
