Review:
I think the author should have left the first book in this series as stand alone as it was originally written. I loved the first book, the second book not so much and this book was my least favorite. The story doesn't even follow the original main character.
The story slow paced and hard to connect to. The characters didn't seem to have the same wonderful darkness that I fell in love with in the previous books.
All in all, I think this book was just ok, a good passing of time, but not thrilling enough to be a favorite.
I remember something about the first book originally being pitched as a standalone one, but sooo many authors stretch their series, especially if their book becomes a bestseller. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes you don't wanna let go of the characters, but it seems like in this case it was one (or two) too many.
