Sunday Confessions #11

Hey Sunday, long time no see. It feels like it is has been the longest week ever. Started the week out not feeling well. Eldest son came home from school on Monday not feeling well either. I think it might be allergies made worse by my immunosuppressants. Those things are keeping me alive, but making me miserable at the same time. I just can't win.

Anyway, lets get on to the week in books.

Sunday Confessions #12

Only got Catch-22 this week. Its next on my Gilmore Girls reading list.

I tried reading the Goldfinch since the movie is coming out soon and I have to say, I found it so boring. The beginning was good. The story tells of how the boy and his mother were at the art museum when a bomb goes off, killing his mother. You feel for the boy, but around 30% the book becomes drawn out and I didn't really feel like there was any story at all. Needless to say, I didn't finish the book. Put it down at about 37%. Anyone else read the Goldfinch? What did you think?
