Summary from Goodreads: A first-ever look at the origins of Caillou, the lovable four-year-old who has been inspiring generations of preschool children to grow emotionally by learning, having fun and using their imagination. Author Christine L’Heureux, who cocreated the character more than 25 years ago, chronicles the beginnings of her treasured character with tenderness and apparent delight. Illustrator Kary captures all the warmth and emotion that are the hallmarks of Caillou’s early years.

Review: If I wasn't already familiar with Caillou, then I probably wouldn't have picked this book up. There wasn't much special to the story and it left me wondering why I was even reading it. My three year old didn't seem interested in it either. The art was great, really along the lines of the Caillou I know. I gave the book three stars.

Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.
