My littlest man turned 9 months this wee. Oh how time flies. I also have one month till my middle one turns four. I told him he wasn't allowed to have a birthday till he's potty trained. He's been working on it, but just can't understand it yet. We'll get there... I hope.

In other news, I finally got myself a job. I will be starting next week. Its exactly what I needed. Its funny how God always knows what you need when you need it. I'm so blessed.

The "Mom i'm bored jar."

When I was a kid, anytime me or my siblings would say that we were bored, my mom would make us do a chore. We learned quickly not to say the "B" word and find a way to entertain ourselves.
I've come across the same problem with my sons. "Mom, I have nothing to do." "Mom, i'm bored." "Mom, what can I do?"
I am so tired of it!

I came across this blog on the almighty Pinterest. It has free printables and cool ideas for a "Mom, i'm bored jar."

It has chores and fun things to do, so its not all bad. It turns the "B" word into a game and your house could be cleaned at the same time.

For the free printables and ideas check out this webpage.

Menu: Week 42

HAPPY EASTER! What a weekend. We had dinner Saturday with my husbands family. My husband helped me bake a wonderful salmon filet and some homemade chicken strips for those of us who don't like salmon. It was a feast of epic proportions.
On Sunday, we of course did what everyone does on Easter Sunday and turned in cans... Then took the boys to the park before heading over to my family get together. We had the most amazing gluten free lasagna that my mom and I pre made the other day... SO GOOD!
I love family get-to-gethers.

Blurb:

Sometimes reality really bites. Alzheimer’s has wrapped Mom’s brain into knots,
vascular dementia has attacked Dad, and instead of carefree retirees, we have become
caregivers. Regardless, dreams die hard, and we somehow stumbled into the purchase
of a forty-foot motor home. That’s when all four of us set out on this seven-week trek
across sixteen U.S. states. Now, Dad stopped-up the toilet again, Mom wet her last pair
of clean jeans, and David just announced that he was hungry. My head is beginning
to pound, and I know this isn’t going to be the easygoing retirement we’d imagined for
ourselves.
Linda Brendle takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotional and spiritual challenges
that many families are facing right now. Co-dependency, mental breakdowns, and
finding love after divorce are just a few of the issues weaved into this journey of
caregiving. Whether you’re looking for an inspirational story to help teach you how to “let
go and let God,” considering becoming the caregiver for one of your own parents, or are
just looking for an entertaining travel book, this story is sure to strike a tender nerve.
